Quick n’ Cute Travel Cup Cozy

Pattern by: Kaitlyn

This travel cup cozy is such an easy, quick, and cute pattern! If you want to add a flower, there is an additional flower pattern at the end of the cup cozy pattern. The pattern is worked by working with two strands of yarn at the same time (that’s why the pattern calls for 2 skeins of yarn).

  • 2 skeins worsted weight yarn
  • size US I/9 or 5.5mm crochet hook
  • scissors
  • large-eye yarn needle

Let’s get started…

  1. ch enough chains to fit snugly around your cup, then ch 2 more
  2. dc in the 3rd ch from the hook and in each st across, ch 2, turn
  3. dc in each st across, ch 2, turn
  4. repeat step 3 until the cozy is as long as you want it

5.  sl st together the short ends of the cozy on the WS

6.  fasten off, weave in your ends, and turn the cozy inside-out

Now you can enjoy your coffee or tea from your local coffee shop and keep your hands cool, but your beverage warm! If you would like to make a flower to decorate your cozy, here’s the pattern:

  1. using the same materials as for your cozy, ch 13, sl st into the 13th ch from the hook
  2. ch 12, sl st into the same st
  3. repeat step 2 for as many petals as you would like for your flower
  4. fasten off and bring one tail to the other side of the flower with the other tail and tie them together
  5. let the tails hang for extra decoration, or weave them in
  6. sew the flower onto the cozy

If you have any questions concerning this pattern, please leave a comment below, and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Have fun crocheting! Here are some pictures of my cozy:
