Quick and Simple Dishcloth

This dishcloth is 9.5 inches by 9.5 inches. Change the number of chains and/or rows to change the size of the cloth. My chain was 9.5 inches, and I did 17 rows.


  • size US I/9 or 5.5mm crochet hook
  • worsted weight cotton yarn (I used Bernat “Handicrafter Cotton Twists”)
  • scissors
  • large-eye yarn needle
  • measuring tape (opt.)

Let’s get started…

  1. ch 31
  2. dc in the third ch from the hook and in each st across
  3. repeat step 2 for 17 rows
  4. fasten off and weave in ends

And there you are! A quick and simple dishcloth pattern that any crocheter, who knows the basic stitches, can make.
