Net Stitch Bookmark

I love making this bookmark because it’s so quick and easy; it is also a great crochet pattern for beginners. It’s looks more complicated than it really is, trust me!


  • any DK or sports weight yarn (I used Bernat “Baby Coordinates”)
  • size US H/8 0r 5mm crochet hook
  • scissors
  • yarn needle

Let’s get started…

  1. ch a multiple of 5 (such as 5, 10, 15, 20, etc.) for the length of the bookmark
  2. dc in the 6th ch from the hook
  3. *ch 2, skip two sts, dc in the 3rd st, rep from * to the end of the row, ch 3, turn
  4. rep step 3 until the desired width of the bookmark is obtained
  5. fasten off and weave in ends
